Review Published in Hormones and Behavior

My review discussing how liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) can be used to study seasonal (and non-seasonal) brain-behavior interactions was recently published in Hormones and Behavior! This article was the result of a fun collaboration with Devaleena Pradhan and Kristina Wade from the Department of Biological Sciences at Idaho State University. In the review, we discuss previous work that has examined seasonal changes in the brain and social behavior, specifically by highlighting studies that have examined the roles of sex steroids and nonapeptides in regulating sexual and aggressive behavior, and we then explain the operation of LC-MS/MS and present current and future applications for LC-MS/MS in the field of behavioral neuroendocrinology.
